Kim So Hyun (김소현; 金 所 炫; born June 4, 1999) is a South Korean actress who began her career as a child actress in 2006 and first gained public attention by playing a young villain in Moon Embracing the Sun (2012) and a girl who fell in tragedy in Missing You (2013). After that, she was affectionately known as "National Little Sister", "Child Actress Queen" and "Historical Film Goddess". 

She landed her first leading role in the teen drama Who Are You: School 2015 (2015) and since then has starred in the musical Page Turner (2016), the historical historical drama The Emperor: Owner of the Mask ( 2017), the romantic comedy Radio Romance (2018) and the dramas Webtoon Naver, Bring It On, Ghost (2016), Love Alarm (2019) and The Tale of Nokdu (2019). She was a regular host of the music show MBC Music Core and the survival reality show Under Nineteen in 2019. 

She was recognized as the representative of a prolific student who bolstered her acting skills in various productions from an early age. and established herself as the next generation Hallyu star.

Early Life and Family

Kim So-Hyun was born on June 4, 1999 in Australia and has a younger brother. She moved to Korea in 2003, at the age of 4. Her father died when she was nine.

Kim transferred from Hoe-ryong primary school in Gyeonggi-do to Towol primary school and graduated in February 2012. She then graduated from Yongin Munjung lycee in 2015. 

She was afterward homeschooled for her secondary education, and passed her highschool graduation exams by 2017. identical year, she registered at Hanyang University' Department of Theater, through rolling admission. Kim attended the 79th entrance ceremony control at Hanyang University in Seongdong-gu, Seoul on February 28, 2018.

In 2016, according to Singapore's national newspaper The Straits Times, Kim revealed in an email interview with the newspaper why she preferred homeschooling to high school, saying that while managing her acting career, he barely had time to study halfway through school. 

Days (which caused her to take her exams unprepared) and missed activities with her classmates, and this similarly happened in her elementary school days. Kim chose homeschooling for her high school education because she didn't want to give up her education.
